Installation

  1. Check if your Audi MMI is running one of the supported firmwares. If needed, update your Audi MMI system.
  2. Download the Request Package, unzip it, and copy it to an empty SD card (FAT32 formatted). Use MHI2 or MHI2Q version according to your MMI firmware.
  3. Go to your car, turn the ignition on, wait about one minute for the MMI system to fully load. Place the SD card in SD1 port and wait. Request Package will start automatically after a couple of seconds, the unit will reboot, and the screen can stay dark for several seconds. That is normal.
  4. When you see Update Summary on the display, scroll to the bottom of the list and select Resume. Next, select Cancel Version Compare, and the unit will reboot.
  5. Remove the SD card from the main unit, connect it back to your computer, and check if there is a request.txt file on it. Copy this file to your computer. You can remove the rest of the Request Package files, as they will no longer be needed.
  6. Send the request.txt file via the form above. Make sure to provide a valid e-mail address.
  7. In reply, you will receive a WeTransger link to an Installation Package. It will let you download the Installation Package after payment. Unzip the Installation Package and place the files on the SD card.
  8. Go back to your car, turn the ignition on, wait about one minute for the MMI system to fully load. Place the SD card in SD1 port and wait. The Installation Package will start automatically after a couple of seconds, the unit will reboot, and the screen can stay dark for several seconds. That is normal.
  9. When you see Update Summary on the display, scroll to the bottom of the list and select Resume. Next, select Cancel Version Compare, and the unit will reboot. Wait about one minute for the MMI system to fully load.
  10. On Virtual Cockpit: set the view to the map tab. On MMI: go to NAV, open the right drawer, choose Navigation Settings, fing Smartphone Cluster and toggle it on.
  11. Connect your phone via a USB cable and check whether smartphone maps are now displayed on Virtual Cockpit.
